Privacy Policy

1. Who we are
Turquoise Society is operated by Flexitest Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 07344798. Flexitest Ltd is the data controller for personal data processed through this website.
Registered office: 1 Perry Field, Kents Green, Tibberton, Gloucestershire, GL19 3AJ, United Kingdom. Privacy enquiries may be sent to mail@flexitest.co.uk.
2. Scope of this notice
This notice explains how we handle personal data when you browse Turquoise Society, contact us by WhatsApp or email, request Society List registration, enquire about a villa, or take part in owner onboarding.
The present website is still in development. Enquiry and Society List forms prepare messages in your browser; they do not submit to a website database. When you choose WhatsApp or email, you share that message with the selected service and still need to send it. Society List registration is completed manually and confirmed by the team. We do not accept accommodation payments or run application-level analytics or advertising tracking.
3. Information we may process
Depending on how you use the service, this may include:
- technical request data such as IP address, browser and device information processed by hosting and security providers;
- your cookie-notice preference and saved or compared villa identifiers stored locally in your browser;
- name, email address, telephone number and message content that you choose to send to us by WhatsApp or email;
- villa, date and guest information you choose to include in an enquiry;
- Society List subscription details and the opt-in message you choose to send;
- owner or manager contact, property and verification information supplied during future onboarding.
Prototype imagery may currently be delivered from external image hosts such as Pexels. Requests for externally hosted media may disclose normal technical request information to that provider.
4. Why we use personal data
We may process personal data to:
- provide and secure the website;
- respond to enquiries and take steps requested before a contract is made;
- facilitate a requested introduction to a villa owner or authorised manager;
- administer owner onboarding and future listing relationships;
- send Society List emails only where the applicable marketing rules allow us to do so;
- keep appropriate business, legal, security and compliance records.
Depending on the activity, our lawful basis may be consent, steps taken at your request before entering a contract, performance of a contract, compliance with a legal obligation, or our legitimate interests in operating and securing the service. Where we rely on legitimate interests, we consider the impact on your rights and interests before doing so.
5. Society List and marketing
Society List requests require a positive opt-in. Opening a prepared message does not complete registration. After receiving your request, the team confirms registration and keeps the consent record. You can withdraw consent by contacting us, and marketing emails will include an unsubscribe route. We will not treat a general villa enquiry as permission to send unrelated marketing.
6. Sharing information
We may share personal data only where necessary with service providers acting for us, such as website hosting, email, database, security and professional-adviser providers. We may also disclose information where required by law or to protect legal rights.
If you ask us to connect you with a property, the information you choose to send may be disclosed to the relevant owner or authorised manager where necessary to deal with your request. The booking or rental relationship may then be governed by that provider's own privacy information as well as ours.
Choosing WhatsApp opens an external service governed by its own privacy terms. Your message and contact details are handled by that service when you use it. We do not sell personal data to advertisers.
7. International transfers
Some technology providers may process data outside the United Kingdom. In addition, a requested introduction to a villa owner or manager in Türkiye may involve sending information outside the UK. Where UK data-protection law requires safeguards for a transfer made by us, we will use an appropriate lawful transfer mechanism.
8. How long we keep information
We keep personal data only for as long as necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, taking account of legal, accounting, security, dispute and record-keeping requirements. Marketing data will be kept until consent is withdrawn or the record is no longer needed. More specific retention schedules will be documented before owner verification or payment processing is introduced.
9. Your rights
Depending on the circumstances and the lawful basis used, UK data-protection law may give you rights to access, correct or erase your data, restrict processing, object to processing, receive portable data, and withdraw consent. These rights are not absolute in every situation.
To exercise a right, email mail@flexitest.co.uk.
10. Cookies and similar technologies
The current build uses essential browser storage to remember that you have seen the cookie notice and your saved or compared villas. Form details are not saved to browser storage or a website database. We do not currently run analytics or advertising cookies in our application code. See our Cookies policy for details.
11. Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures intended to protect personal data against loss, misuse, unauthorised access, disclosure or alteration. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.
12. Children
Turquoise Society is intended for adults arranging travel or managing properties. We do not knowingly ask children to submit personal data directly through the service.
13. Complaints
Please contact us first if you have a concern about our use of your personal data. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
14. Changes to this notice
We will review this notice as Turquoise Society moves from prototype to live service, particularly as we introduce Society List registration, owner verification, analytics, database-backed enquiry workflows or payment functionality.
